4th of July in Nebraska

Going to Nebraska for the 4th of July has become a tradition for my family. We enjoy getting the “good” fireworks and just having a fun time on the farm for a couple of days. One of my favorite things to do is to take photos of the fireworks (and my mom’s garden, see below). It can take a few times for me to get my exposure dialed in and I love that I never know what the end result is going to look like. I did a short “how to” post if you are interested in trying it yourself next year.

My mom’s garden is also part of every 4th of July for me. I started learning photography in her garden and I will continue to practice, play, and create in this same garden for years to come. It’s my favorite place to just walk around with my camera.
