Finally new floral images for 2021!!
Just a little over a week ago I took a Sunday afternoon to let the inspiration flow. I had received a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from my family and they were starting to whither so I dropped everything that I thought I was going to do (probably take a nap because … Sunday) and grabbed the bouquet and headed to my studio. At that point I hadn’t yet done a shoot in my new space so there was a little bit of experimenting with where the best light was to set everything up. I ended up moving my desk/table right up to the window and using the blinds to adjust the light.
This entire shoot made me so happy and filled with joy! It’s weird how you can get away from something and forget how much joy it brings you. I was so giddy that day and into the week. It lifted my heart and I want to keep that going.
I loved this Freesia stem! I actually had to enlist my mom to help me identify this bloom. Neither of us knew what it was at first but then my mom figured it out. They have a wonderful scent and I love how it curls at the tip and each bloom opens one at a time. I find so much beauty in flowers and how perfectly they are created.

Would love to know what you think of these and if you knew what they were! Do you like the color or black & white? Please leave a comment below. Until next time …
