My family knows that flowers are one of my favorite things so it’s no surprise that they would gift me a gorgeous bouquet for Mother’s Day. Not only do I get to enjoy them in my home with their sweet scent but I also get to let them inspire to create something from them. After studying and photographing flowers for many years, I have discovered that every bloom and stem is unique. Not every flower grows the same. Color and shape are a little different. Some can even have anomaly’s with how they grew. When I have a set of flowers in front of me I take time to study them individually. Pulling single stems out, rotating it in the soft window light, to simply have my eyes open to its beauty on its own. Next time you receive a bouquet, let your eyes be open to how they were each created.
