Evergreen Lake Trail with Lensbaby Edge 80

July 19, 2021

After weeks (or should I say months) of working in our garden taking it from dirt to something more beautiful to look at, it was time for our family to get out and explore. Over the last year we have explored our immediate area finding new favorite restaurants, garden centers, shopping centers and of course coffee shops. We hadn’t quite yet ventured out further to explore areas we can take day road trips to. We use to go to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park a lot so it was time to find new areas to get away to.

I have been searching for some relatively easy walks/hikes that we could do and I found Evergreen Lake Trail in the All Trails app. We have never been to Evergreen and liked that it is about an hour away from us so we can kind of get out of the city and head up into the mountains a bit.

I had a few motivations for this road trip, one of which was to spark a little creativity. Since it has been awhile since we have explored, it has been awhile since I have created from what I experience. I needed to get out and experience something new with my camera in tow. This day I decided to break out my Lensbaby Edge 80 lens and discover again the joy of just photographing what is in front of me. And my favorite part about this lens is the miniature effect it gives.
