A Fringed Tulip

June 10, 2021

Do flowers ever stop you in your tracks? They do this to me all of the time. When I go to a garden center I’m easily distracted by all the flowers and plants. Same is true when I receive a gorgeously done floral bouquet.

I’ve seen fringed tulips in photos online but I can not recall ever seeing one in person. I’m thinking that is pretty sad to admit. Well this soft pink fringed tulip was really beautiful and one day it stopped me in my tracks and I had to photograph it.

I like quirky things about flowers. This bloom had an odd petal that grew lower then the actual bloom and was more green and white in color but still had the fringed edge. It reached up toward the bloom holding it softly. I love that. I love when something isn’t perfect but it’s perfect just the way it is.
