The words that kept coming out of my families mouth were “Wow, it’s so beautiful!”. We took a road trip to Southern Colorado which took us through the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, past the Great Sand Dunes National Park, Wolf Creek Pass (incredibly beautiful), and Mesa Verde. Going through this area in the Fall was the best decision ever as there is so much color everywhere. The aspen trees were at peak it seemed and the landscape was filled with a golden hue. The only unfortunate part of our trip was the weather. We had good weather on our drive to Pagosa Springs but the next two days were nothing but rain and a lot of it. Most of the photos below were taken on Day 1 when there was still some blue sky but I still love the moody clouds in the others. The day we went to Mesa Verde the fog was incredible (and a little scary driving up there) but it did keep us from being able to venture around as they had the park kinda of closed down. It was still fun and made for some great memories!
