We have been trying to get back to Kenosha Pass for a while now. Many years ago I planned a day trip to see Fall Colors (that’s what we do here in Colorado) and chose a road we had never gone on before. That road lead us right up Kenosha Pass and to the most beautiful area with millions of aspen trees.
A couple of years ago we attempted to find that very same spot but the day we were able to do it the weather was rainy, windy and cold so we basically drove up and back without exploring. This year we got a beautiful day and finally found the spot we had visited many years ago. The only downfall was all the people and cars. There was a line of cars to just drive by the road side parking area (see the last photo). I grabbed a very questionable spot and somehow my husband went for it. The trail was very busy but I just had to be patient for the quick breaks between groups to grab shots without anyone in them. Overall we were glad we decided to stop and brave the chaos for a bit because this area is so beautiful in the Fall.
