Our little front porch has been neglected for too long. It has needed some attention to make it feel more welcoming not only to guests but also for us to come home to. I have always believed in making a home feel special and a retreat from the world and one way to do that is by using decor to accomplish that feeling. So when I kind of hit the terracotta jackpot I wanted to put stacks of pots all around and inside these black iron lanterns. I’ve had these mini garden tools for a long time and they seemed perfect to go here. My mom and I love to have geraniums and have been successfully overwintering them so I brought one up here. Of course since it’s almost the 4th of July I added a couple of small flags, too. I’m already thinking about how I want to add to this and hopefully this was enough for me to no longer ignore this space.
