August is the time to enjoy all the hard work that has been put into the garden. All summer long we’ve been making sure the new editions get rooted in and trying to keep everything deeply hydrated when the suns heat is beating down on everything and everyone. The veggies we planted should be producing the beginning of their harvest. Plus the late summer blooms that add a beautiful color. I especially love when the swallowtail butterflies come to visit the zinnias.
