If I have had a moment where I feel so incredibly happy with how my funky, untraditional, backyard garden is coming along it is this moment right here. On a Monday morning, I decided to clip stems off of everything blooming and take them into my studio and photograph them. I had 3 glass ball jars filled with beautiful colors and came in smiling from ear to ear. My goal and dream is to step out into my garden and pick something beautiful to photograph. It was amazing to do that!

I love seeing all the blooms laid out and how they all look so pretty together. I wanted to focus on the colors pink, purple, yellow and white for the plants that I was choosing and I’m doing pretty good at staying focused. I need some yellow though!

One of my favorite images is of the five daisies. I have fallen in love with those plants and how they just keep blooming and blooming. Putting them onto the black background gave them so much dimension and character. I would love to see this image printed as a card so I will be working on that soon.
