I am so happy to share with you a little styled shoot that Tonia Verbeck from The Heirloom Market and I did a couple of weeks ago. It has been a little while since her and I have done a styled shoot, something that I was missing and craving. I’ve been laying hints pretty heavy to her that I wanted to get back to doing styled shoots again. I knew she wouldn’t oppose, it was just going to take a little effort to get our schedules to come together.
I was back in Nebraska and we needed a fresh image to ‘represent’ the 2021 Spring Market. But it’s January. There isn’t a green plant outside and everything has that tired winter look. After walking around downtown Bayard a little bit in the cold and wind, we went back into the Mercantile Co and I started to see an image come to life.
Tonia always has the most beautiful things ‘laying around’ her shop so we just started to grab all the plants to bring some green life to our spring image. The bike is so gorgeous so we had to include that. Then I saw this poster and knew that was going to be our color and spring vibe with all the pretty potted flowers. We ended up completely destroying her displays to put this together but Tonia graciously said that she was going to redo the shop anyway so it didn’t matter.
What do you think of what we put together? Does it feel Spring to you even though it was photographed on a cold winter day in January? We think so! Be sure to head to The Heirloom Market website and to put May 29 on our calendar to go to the Spring Market in Bayard, Ne.
